Our impact

Since its establishment in 2022, the Rwanda Young Women’s SRHR Network has made significant strides in advancing the Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) of women and girls across Rwanda. Through a strong coalition of young women–led organizations and social enterprises, we have:

Amplified Young Women’s Voices

Mobilized 17 member organizations to raise awareness on key SRHR issues, including access to information and services, teenage pregnancy, and sexual violence.

Strengthened Advocacy Efforts

Engaged in evidence-based advocacy that influences national debates and policy dialogues, ensuring SRHR remains at the center of Rwanda’s development agenda.

Built a Vibrant SRHR Movement

Created safe spaces for collaboration, learning, and collective action, fostering solidarity among young women–led organizations and amplifying grassroots voices.

Increased Visibility & Public Engagement

Used diverse media platforms and civil society networks to highlight challenges, share knowledge, and mobilize communities around SRHR issues.

Enhanced Member Capacities

Supported regular capacity-building, exchange, and joint initiatives, strengthening organizational structures and ensuring effective advocacy and service delivery.

Promoted Inclusivity

Focused on reaching marginalized groups—including young mothers, girls with disabilities, and historically excluded communities—ensuring their voices are heard and their rights defended.
