The Rwanda Young Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Network is a vibrant coalition of young women–led organizations and social enterprises dedicated to advancing the health, rights, and dignity of women and girls in all their diversities. Established in 2022, the Network serves as a safe space for collaboration, learning, and collective action to address pressing SRHR challenges in Rwanda.
With the motto “Empower to Empower,” we unite our members to amplify voices, strengthen advocacy, and drive evidence-based change. Our mission is to build a strong and inclusive movement that promotes equal access to sexual and reproductive health services and products, while influencing policies and practices to ensure fairness, respect, and inclusivity.
Guided by our values of dignity, mutual respect, inclusivity, solidarity, transparency, and integrity, we work hand in hand with communities, civil society, and decision-makers to create a Rwanda where every woman and girl can live a healthy and dignified life.
At the Rwanda Young Women’s SRHR Network, we believe that lasting impact comes from strong connections. Our approach is rooted in building partnerships, fostering collaboration, and creating safe spaces where young women–led organizations can share experiences, learn from one another, and amplify their voices. Through active engagement with communities, civil society, and decision-makers, we connect grassroots efforts to national advocacy, ensuring that women and girls across Rwanda have equal and inclusive access to quality SRHR information and services.
We recognize communication as a powerful tool for change. The Rwanda Young Women’s SRHR Network uses clear, inclusive, and evidence-based communication to raise awareness, share knowledge, and influence decision-makers. By leveraging diverse media platforms, storytelling, and community dialogues, we amplify the voices of women and girls, highlight SRHR challenges, and advocate for policies that ensure equal and inclusive access to services. Our goal is to foster transparency, build trust, and keep SRHR at the center of public discourse.
Collaboration is at the heart of the Rwanda Young Women’s SRHR Network. We bring together young women–led organizations, allies, and partners to create a united front for advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Rwanda. By pooling knowledge, resources, and expertise, we strengthen our collective impact and ensure that advocacy efforts are well-coordinated and effective. Through joint initiatives, capacity building, and strategic partnerships, we empower our members and amplify their voices to influence lasting change.
At the Rwanda Young Women’s SRHR Network, we believe in the power of young women’s voices to shape a healthier, more inclusive future.
Strengthening women-led organizations to drive change from the grassroots to national levels.
