At the Rwanda Young Women’s SRHR Network, we implement impactful programs designed to advance the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights of women and girls in all their diversities. Guided by a rights-based and inclusive approach, our initiatives focus on the following areas:
We empower young women and grassroots organizations to lead a strong national and local SRHR movement. Through training, mobilization, and advocacy, we amplify voices, strengthen solidarity, and ensure communities actively participate in shaping policies and services that affect their health and rights.
Our advocacy is rooted in credible evidence and lived experiences. We systematically document SRHR challenges, conduct research, and use testimonies to influence policymakers, service providers, and other stakeholders. By partnering with media and civil society platforms, we raise awareness and push for inclusive laws and policies.
We work to ensure adolescents and young people—both in and out of school—have access to accurate, age-appropriate, and inclusive sexuality education. This equips them with knowledge and skills to make informed decisions, prevent early pregnancies, and protect their health and rights.
We advocate for equal access to quality family planning and menstrual health services and products. Together with healthcare providers, we promote inclusive, youth-friendly, and rights-based services, ensuring no woman or girl is left behind.
We champion the SRHR of key populations—including girls and women with disabilities, people living with HIV, LGBTQIA+ individuals, sex workers, and historically marginalized communities. By amplifying their voices, we work to eliminate stigma, discrimination, and structural barriers.
We build the capacities of our member organizations through training, technical support, and joint initiatives. This ensures sustainable advocacy, strong organizational systems, and enhanced collaboration across the network.
Strengthening women-led organizations to drive change from the grassroots to national levels.
